The day before yesterday, Steve Ballmer unveiled features of new Windows Phone 7. It is already available on Europe this month, and is said to come to U.S. next month.
We can see that windows phone 7 emphasis on user exprience, unique and stunning style. It was designed to help bring together the stuff most people care about and help get these things done faster, like work emails, Facebook status, taking pictures, playing games, music and video.
Microsoft seems to be confident about the Windows Phone 7 for the mobile market. However to catch up and compete against current mobile giants Apple and Google, Microsoft has long way to go still.
Microsoft is coming to the mobile space years behind Apple, to catch up to the App market could take years. Also it lacks of the support from Verizon who is now the partner of Google android.
